Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday personally reviewed the ground-level readiness for the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026. He inspected arrangements at key base camps and en route facilities, emphasizing that the safety and convenience of pilgrims remain the top priority. The LG interacted with officials, security personnel, and service providers to ensure seamless coordination between civil administration, police, and central forces.
During the review, Sinha directed that all departments maintain round-the-clock vigilance and provide timely assistance to yatris. He highlighted the importance of medical facilities, sanitation, and transport services, urging officials to uphold the highest standards of preparedness. The LG also reiterated that strict adherence to registered travel dates and security advisories is essential for smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.
Officials briefed the LG on deployment of security forces, installation of anti-drone systems, and emergency response mechanisms. Sinha expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and assured that the administration is fully committed to ensuring a safe, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling yatra for devotees from across the country.
