Hezbollah has threatened to attack U.S. military bases in Iraq if Washington joins Israel in its ongoing strikes, escalating tensions in the region. The warning came amid renewed clashes along the Lebanon–Israel border and Iran’s missile attacks on Israeli targets.
In a statement, Hezbollah declared that any direct U.S. involvement in the conflict would trigger retaliatory strikes against American installations in Iraq, where thousands of U.S. troops remain deployed. The group framed its threat as part of a broader resistance strategy against what it calls “foreign aggression.”
Security analysts note that Hezbollah’s warning underscores the risk of the conflict expanding beyond Israel and Lebanon, potentially drawing in U.S. forces stationed across the Middle East. Such escalation could destabilize Iraq, where militias aligned with Iran already operate against American interests.
