Apollo Hospitals has announced plans to bring advanced plastic surgery innovations to Kashmir, expanding access to world-class reconstructive and cosmetic procedures in the Valley.
The initiative will introduce modern techniques already practiced at Indraprastha Apollo in New Delhi, including reconstructive surgery for trauma and burns, cosmetic enhancements, and functional restoration for patients recovering from accidents or medical conditions.
Senior specialists such as Dr. Shahin Nooreyezdan (Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery) and Dr. Sameer Kaul (Oncology & Robotics) recently showcased these innovations in Srinagar, highlighting Apollo’s commitment to ethical standards and patient safety.
Alongside plastic surgery, Apollo is also expanding oncology services in Kashmir, offering robotic surgery, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy to provide holistic care for cancer patients.
Officials emphasized that the move will reduce the need for patients to travel outside the Valley for advanced procedures, while also building local medical capacity through training and technology transfer.
This development is expected to transform healthcare in Kashmir, blending science and compassion to deliver both functional recovery and aesthetic outcomes for patients.
