Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday interacted with students, teachers and parents during the latest edition of ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’, urging students to view examinations as an opportunity rather than a source of stress. Emphasising a learner’s mindset, the Prime Minister said he engages in such interactions to learn from students’ experiences, not to teach them.
Addressing students from across the country, PM Modi spoke at length about managing exam pressure, maintaining focus and developing self-confidence. He encouraged students to understand their own strengths and weaknesses instead of comparing themselves with others, stressing that every individual has a unique pace and path to success.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of disciplined routines, proper sleep and balanced use of technology during the examination period. He advised students to treat studies as a part of life rather than a burden, and to approach preparation with curiosity and interest.
Interacting with parents and teachers, PM Modi said their role is crucial in creating a positive environment for students. He cautioned against putting unnecessary pressure on children and urged parents to support their children emotionally, while teachers were encouraged to nurture confidence rather than fear of failure.
‘Pariksha pe Charcha’ is an annual interactive programme aimed at reducing exam stress and promoting a healthy approach towards learning. The event witnessed participation from students and educators from different parts of the country, reflecting a wide range of questions and concerns related to academics and mental well-being.
