Visakhapatnam, December 25, 2025: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), has dismantled a hashish oil trafficking network in Andhra Pradesh. The operation at Duvvada Railway Station led to the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of 4 kilograms of hashish oil.
According to officials, the arrested persons include two receivers from Thrissur district in Kerala, a supplier from Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh, and two carriers tasked with transporting the contraband to Kerala. The bust highlights the inter-state nexus between suppliers in Andhra Pradesh and receivers in Kerala.
Hashish oil, a concentrated derivative of cannabis, is often mixed with tobacco for smoking. Enforcement agencies have flagged Andhra Pradesh’s hilly regions, particularly Paderu and Srikakulam, as vulnerable corridors for cannabis and hash oil trafficking.
All five accused have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The NCB emphasized that the operation was based on credible intelligence inputs and forms part of its intensified crackdown on inter-state drug trafficking networks.
The seizure and arrests are expected to significantly disrupt the supply chain of hashish oil intended for circulation in Kerala, reinforcing the government’s commitment to curbing narcotics trafficking across southern India.
