A group of physically handicapped (PHC) aspirants has urged the University of Kashmir (KU) to review the eligibility criteria for the Junior Assistant (Non-Teaching) posts advertised under Notification No. 05 of 2023, dated April 27, 2023.
The candidates, many of whom hold Master’s degrees in diverse disciplines and include qualifiers of NET and JRF, expressed concern that the requirement of a minimum of 50 percent marks at the graduation level has excluded several deserving applicants from the PHC category.
They appealed to the university authorities to adopt a more inclusive approach, ensuring that qualified aspirants are not denied opportunities due to restrictive criteria.
