Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu outlined a bold vision for India’s aerospace future at Wings India 2026, held at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad. Addressing industry leaders, policymakers, and global stakeholders, the Minister emphasized India’s ambition to transform from a consumer of aviation services into a global hub for aircraft design, manufacturing, financing, and maintenance.
The Minister highlighted that India’s expanding middle class and young demographic will drive demand for aviation services, while indigenous manufacturing capabilities and supportive policies will anchor the country’s aerospace growth. He noted that India has already made significant strides in domestic production, overcoming past bottlenecks and positioning itself as a viable base for global aviation operations.
Naidu stressed the importance of building a comprehensive ecosystem that integrates infrastructure, financing, and skilled manpower.
