Ayodhya, March 27: Ram Navami celebrations began in Ayodhya today with thousands of devotees gathering at the newly consecrated Ram Mandir and other temples across the holy city. The atmosphere was filled with chants of “Jai Shri Ram” as pilgrims from different parts of the country arrived to offer prayers and participate in the festivities.
Authorities said elaborate arrangements have been made to manage the large influx of devotees, including security deployments, medical aid stations, and crowd management measures. Special trains and buses have been running to facilitate travel, while local volunteers are assisting pilgrims at key points.
The celebrations include bhajans, kirtans, and recitations from the Ramayana, with the temple premises decorated with flowers and lights. Priests performed rituals marking the birth of Lord Ram, and devotees queued up for darshan since early morning.
Officials noted that this year’s Ram Navami holds special significance as it is the first major festival after the consecration of the Ram Mandir in January. The Uttar Pradesh government has urged citizens to maintain peace and harmony while celebrating the occasion.
The festive spirit has spread across Ayodhya, with cultural programs, processions, and devotional gatherings planned throughout the day, reflecting the deep spiritual and cultural importance of Ram Navami in the city.
