Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh, emphasised the growing participation of women in Civil Services, noting that their increasing presence reflects India’s progress toward gender equality and empowerment. He highlighted that women officers are contributing significantly across diverse administrative and policy-making roles.
Speaking at a recent event, Dr. Singh underlined that the government’s reforms and transparent recruitment processes have encouraged more women to join Civil Services. He pointed out that the rising number of women candidates qualifying through the UPSC examinations demonstrates both their competence and determination to serve the nation.
The Minister praised women officers for their leadership in governance, social development, and public service delivery. He stressed that their participation strengthens inclusivity and ensures that diverse perspectives are represented in decision-making at the highest levels.
