India Women scripted history at Lord’s by defeating England by 270 runs in the first-ever women’s Test played at the iconic venue.
Yastika Bhatia became the first Indian woman to score a century at Lord’s, while Kranti Gaud etched her name on the Honours Board with a five-wicket haul.
Smriti Mandhana anchored the batting with scores of 83 and 70, supported by Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma in the first innings, and Richa Ghosh with a fluent fifty in the second.
England were bowled out for 170 and 186, with Amy Jones top-scoring in both innings, as Sneh Rana and Deepti Sharma sealed the win with disciplined bowling.
The victory marks India’s first women’s Test triumph at Lord’s and their largest margin of victory against England, cementing Harmanpreet Kaur’s record as India’s most successful Test captain.
