Air India has suspended all flights to Israel until May 31 amid the ongoing war in West Asia, the airline confirmed. The decision affects operations on the New Delhi–Tel Aviv route, which had resumed earlier this year with four weekly Boeing 787 Dreamliner services.
The suspension has caused concern among more than 40,000 Indians living in Israel, many of whom now have to rely on alternative exit routes through Jordan or Egypt via land crossings. With most global carriers halting Tel Aviv operations, only Israeli airlines such as El Al, IsraAir, Arkia and Air Haifa continue to fly under severe restrictions.
According to officials, the Indian mission in Tel Aviv is in touch with the community and is providing assistance to those seeking urgent travel arrangements. The situation remains fluid, and Air India is expected to review the suspension based on security assessments closer to the end of May.
