The sacred Chhari Mubarak, the silver mace representing Lord Shiva, was taken to Pahalgam on Wednesday as part of the traditional annual Amarnath Yatra rituals.
Led by Mahant Deependra Giri, the custodian of the holy mace, the procession included sadhus, devotees, and members of the local community, reflecting the deep spiritual significance of the pilgrimage.
Special rituals, including Bhoomi Pujan, Navgrah Pujan and Dhwajarohan, were performed at the Gauri Shankar Temple on the auspicious occasion of Ashad Purnima (Vyas Purnima), marking the ceremonial beginning of the Chhari Mubarak traditions.
The Chhari Mubarak pilgrimage will continue through its scheduled religious ceremonies before culminating at the holy Amarnath Cave Shrine on Shravan Purnima (Raksha Bandhan), where the final prayers and darshan will be offered.
