The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for Class 12 students to obtain scanned photocopies of their evaluated answer books by one day, moving it from May 24 to May 25, 2026 midnight.
The extension was announced through a circular issued by CBSE Controller of Examinations, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, citing the need to provide adequate time for students to submit requests. The board clarified that all other terms and conditions of the facility remain unchanged.
This marks the third consecutive extension in recent days, as the deadline was earlier shifted from May 22 to May 23, then to May 24, and now to May 25. The decision follows widespread complaints from students and parents about difficulties in accessing scanned copies through the portal and technical glitches in the payment system.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has directed technical teams from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur, along with support from public sector banks, to assist CBSE in strengthening its payment gateway infrastructure and ensuring a glitch-free re-evaluation process.
CBSE has also assured students that refunds will be issued for excess payments deducted due to technical errors during the application process. The board reiterated that the schedule for re-evaluation requests will be communicated soon, and the portal will remain open for at least two days after the last scanned copy is made available.
Students are advised to make use of the extended timeline and submit their applications promptly via the official CBSE portal.
