New Delhi, July 1: External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar today received the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Abdulnasser Alshaali, on a farewell call. The meeting marked the conclusion of Alshaali’s tenure in India, during which bilateral ties between the two nations witnessed significant growth.
Jaishankar appreciated the Ambassador’s efforts in strengthening the India–UAE partnership across trade, investment, energy, and cultural exchanges. He noted that the UAE has emerged as one of India’s most important strategic partners in the Gulf region, with cooperation expanding in new areas such as technology and renewable energy.
Dr. Alshaali expressed gratitude for the support he received during his tenure and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to deepening ties with India.
