Srinagar, Nov 26: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha has called upon citizens to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution of India, emphasising that these principles form the foundation of democracy and national unity.
Addressing a gathering on Constitution Day, Sinha said the Constitution is not merely a legal document but a guiding framework that ensures justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity for all. He urged people, especially the youth, to remain committed to these ideals in their daily lives.
The Lieutenant Governor highlighted that the Constitution empowers every citizen and provides the roadmap for inclusive development. He noted that adherence to constitutional values strengthens institutions and safeguards the rights of all sections of society.
Sinha reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting constitutional principles and promoting awareness about their significance. He added that collective responsibility in upholding these values is essential for building a stronger, more resilient India.
