New Delhi’s Pradhanmantri Sanghralaya has unveiled an AI-enabled 3D avatar of Mahatma Gandhi, giving visitors a chance to interact with the Father of the Nation in real-time conversations.
The hyper-realistic avatar, powered by advanced holographic display and generative AI, responds to questions, narrates stories, and shares Gandhi’s principles of truth, non-violence, and simplicity.
This installation is part of the museum’s HoloBox series, which already features avatars of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and former President APJ Abdul Kalam. A similar projection of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is expected soon.
Ashwani Lohani, Director of the Prime Ministers’ Museum and Library, said the initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to presenting India’s democratic heritage in a holistic and engaging manner.
The Gandhi avatar highlights how cultural institutions are adopting AI-driven experiences to preserve history while creating meaningful dialogues across generations.
