President Droupadi Murmu has called for deeper economic cooperation between India and Romania, highlighting the need to expand trade, investment and business partnerships between the two countries. Addressing the India-Romania Business Forum, the President said stronger economic ties would further strengthen the long-standing friendship between the two nations.
President Murmu said India and Romania share significant potential for collaboration in areas such as technology, innovation, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy and other emerging sectors. She encouraged businesses from both countries to explore new opportunities and build mutually beneficial partnerships.
The President highlighted India’s growing economy and its expanding role in global trade, while inviting Romanian companies to participate in India’s development journey. She emphasised that increased cooperation between industries would contribute to economic growth and create new opportunities for businesses and people of both nations.
During the forum, business representatives from India and Romania discussed possibilities for strengthening commercial engagement and enhancing cooperation across various sectors. Officials stressed the importance of facilitating greater connectivity and collaboration between private enterprises.
President Murmu said the relationship between India and Romania has evolved over several decades and expressed confidence that stronger economic engagement would add a new dimension to bilateral ties.
The India-Romania Business Forum served as a platform for leaders, entrepreneurs and industry representatives from both countries to exchange ideas and identify areas for future cooperation.
