New Delhi, Dec 02: Amir Rashid Ali, an accused in the Red Fort blast case, was produced before the Patiala House Court on Monday amid tight security arrangements. He was brought to the court complex by a Delhi Police team for further legal proceedings related to the long-pending investigation.
According to officials, the court reviewed the case file and heard submissions from both the prosecution and the defence before deciding on the next steps. The proceedings focused on the progress of the investigation and the requirements for continued custodial or judicial supervision.
The Red Fort blast case, which dates back to an attack on the historic monument, has seen several rounds of hearings over the years. Authorities said the appearance of Amir Rashid Ali marks another stage in the ongoing legal process aimed at establishing the full chain of events and determining accountability.
Security personnel maintained a strict vigil inside and outside the courtroom to ensure smooth conduct of the proceedings. Officials said the next hearing has been scheduled as the court continues to examine the evidence and submissions placed before it.
Further details regarding the court’s directions or the investigation pathway are expected to be shared once the formal order is issued.
