JAMMU: The Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu & Kashmir Police have intensified patrolling measures to strengthen security across sensitive areas of the Union Territory. The move comes in response to heightened threats and recent intelligence inputs indicating increased infiltration attempts along the border.
Officials stated that aggressive patrolling is being carried out jointly by BSF and Police units to ensure round-the-clock vigilance. The enhanced deployment aims to deter cross-border activities, prevent smuggling, and maintain law and order in vulnerable districts.
Security forces have also stepped up monitoring of highways, border villages, and strategic installations. Mobile patrols, surprise checks, and area domination exercises are being conducted to reassure the public and reinforce confidence in the security apparatus.
The administration has reiterated its commitment to safeguarding citizens and maintaining peace, noting that coordinated efforts between BSF, Police, and intelligence agencies are crucial to counter emerging challenges. The intensified patrolling is expected to serve as both a preventive and confidence-building measure in the region.
