A suspected drone was recovered from an agricultural field in Samba district of Jammu & Kashmir on the morning of July 14, 2026.
The drone was found by a local resident in Chak Salaria village near the Devak river around 5:50 am and immediately reported to the Army.
Officials believe the drone was the same object detected the previous night near Nandpur village, where Army units activated anti-drone jamming measures after spotting an unidentified flying object approaching from the Arnia side.
The recovered drone has been sent for forensic examination to determine its technical specifications, origin, and possible cross-border links.
Samba district, located close to the International Border, has witnessed multiple drone-related incidents in recent years, often suspected of being used for smuggling arms, explosives, or narcotics.
