The Ministry of Civil Aviation has activated the Passenger Assistance and Complaint Redressal (PACR) mechanism to address grievances of air travellers amid escalating tensions in West Asia. The initiative aims to ensure timely assistance, smooth travel operations, and proper guidance for passengers affected by the evolving geopolitical situation in the region.
Officials said the PACR system will provide real-time support to travellers facing flight cancellations, delays, or route changes due to the ongoing crisis. Airlines and airport authorities have been instructed to coordinate closely with the ministry to manage disruptions and prioritize passenger safety and comfort.
The ministry has urged passengers to stay updated with flight schedules, adhere to advisory guidelines, and report any issues through the PACR portal or helpline numbers. The activation of this mechanism reflects the government’s proactive approach in safeguarding travellers’ interests during periods of international uncertainty.
