External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar called for stronger collaboration among nations to address pressing global challenges while speaking at the Jeju Forum in South Korea. Highlighting the need for collective resilience, he emphasized that the world is facing interconnected crises ranging from geopolitical tensions and economic disruptions to climate change and technological shifts.
Dr. Jaishankar underscored that no country can tackle these challenges alone, stressing the importance of partnerships in areas such as supply chain security, energy transition, and digital innovation. He noted that India’s vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” aligns with global efforts to build sustainable and inclusive growth, and reiterated India’s commitment to multilateralism and regional cooperation.
The Jeju Forum, often described as Asia’s Davos, serves as a platform for dialogue on peace, prosperity, and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. Jaishankar’s remarks reflected India’s proactive role in shaping global conversations on resilience, security, and sustainable development.
His address also highlighted the importance of trust and transparency in international relations, urging nations to strengthen frameworks that ensure equitable access to resources and technology. The call for collaboration comes at a time when global supply chains, energy markets, and security architectures are under strain.
