The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has reiterated that Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, including Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), are integral parts of India. The statement came in response to recent remarks from Pakistan, with the MEA emphasizing that the Union Territories are constitutionally and legally part of India and any claims otherwise hold no validity.
MEA spokesperson underscored that India remains firm on its position and urged Pakistan to cease cross-border terrorism and interference in internal matters. The reiteration aligns with India’s consistent stance that PoK is under illegal occupation and will always remain an inseparable part of the country.
This reaffirmation comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with India continuing to highlight Pakistan’s role in supporting extremist activities and rejecting attempts to internationalize the Kashmir issue.
