Nagpur: Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan on Saturday cautioned that the world is under the looming threat of war, stressing that dialogue remains the only path to lasting solutions. He was addressing the 29th National Youth Parliament at the RSS’ Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir complex in Reshimbagh.
“When the world is facing the threat of war, dialogue is the only way forward,” Radhakrishnan said, urging youth to embrace respectful debate and diverse perspectives. He emphasized that constructive conversations are vital both in resolving global conflicts and in strengthening India’s democracy.
The Vice President highlighted the theme of the Youth Parliament — ‘Indian Languages & Developed India-2047’ — noting that speaking in one’s mother tongue is about being original, not regional. He praised efforts to translate the Constitution into multiple Indian languages as a step toward inclusivity.
As Chairperson of the Rajya Sabha, Radhakrishnan also pointed to constructive debates in Parliament as examples of dialogue leading to solutions, reiterating that India’s path to development must be rooted in democratic values and mutual understanding.
The National Youth Parliament, attended by students and young leaders from across the country, provided a platform for discussions on language, democracy, and India’s vision for 2047. Radhakrishnan’s remarks linked the importance of dialogue in domestic democratic practices with the need for global peace-building.
