New Delhi, December 30, 2025: Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Ajay Kumar Sood, today unveiled the National Technology Readiness Assessment Framework in New Delhi. The initiative is designed to evaluate and benchmark emerging technologies across sectors, ensuring their alignment with national priorities and global standards.
The framework provides a structured methodology to assess the maturity, scalability, and potential impact of technologies developed in India. It aims to support innovation ecosystems, guide policymakers, and assist industry stakeholders in adopting solutions that are ready for deployment.
Officials stated that the framework will help identify gaps in research and development, strengthen collaboration between academia, industry, and government, and accelerate the transition of technologies from laboratories to markets.
